5 Reasons Why You NEED to Stay at La Serena Villas

Reason #1: Total Oasis Vibes

Walking up to our room at La Serena Villas, the first thing I noticed was the hanging swing on the front porch. I mentally noted that i would spend lots of time there, and rushed to open the door to our home for the next three days. I literally gasped when I opened the door to villa #10. This 455 square foot home-away-from-home is absolutely breathtaking. From the luxurious shower complete with a seat + a rain shower head (and the most beautiful tile!), to the luxurious linens and immaculate furniture, every square inch of this place was beautiful. I was immediately obsessed with their beaded light fixtures and beams on the ceiling. These are details I definitely want in my future home. The kitchen was complete with a microwave, lots of storage, and an adorable vintage baby blue fridge. Is it weird to call a fridge adorable? ;) Oh well, its just the truth. Serious interior envy of this place.

Reason #2: Magical Outdoor Spaces

I am such a sucker for a gorgeous white claw foot tub, and each villa boasts a vintage bathtub complete with warm running water. Taking a bath and gazing up at the desert night sky is something I will never forget. Nothing quite like the bright crispness of the constellations alongside the San Jacinto Mountains. Our outdoor space also had a fire pit, but we didn’t end up using it because of the 120+ degree temperatures. But we look forward to visiting again in the winter and enjoying that amazing feature. Located right outside out patio, the Whispers Spa offered some indulgences that are impossible to pass up. I highly recommend their sea weed wrap :)

Reason #3: Incredible Indulgences at Azucar

The in-room Keurig was delicious for coffee round one (we drink 4-5 rounds everyday, talk about addicted!), and the option for room service breaky was tempting… but what was even more enticing was the delicious breakfast basket that awaited us at Azucar! After washing up in our humongous shower, we headed over to Azucar for our complimentary breakfast basket. I mean seriously, how adorable is that! Inside the basket we found fruit, croissants, granola + yogurt parfaits, some fresh eggs, and orange juice. So YUMMY! We got to enjoy this awesome breakfast spread in the most awe inspiring dining area i have ever seen. With basket lights hanging from the ceiling, beautiful ornate tile floors, and some seriously cool wallpaper, I didn’t want to leave this space. We definitely spent awhile in here :)

Reason #4: Location Location Location

Nestled in the Heart of Downtown Palm Springs, La Serena Villas is walking distance to the famous Palm Canyon Drive, where we found the best restaurants, boutiques, photo ops, and galleries. When traveling, I love immersing myself in the cities history and soaking in all the beauty. Speaking of history, this place has a pretty interesting past! Sitting on over an acre of beautiful landscaped land with 18 villas available to enjoy, La Serena Villas was completely renovated in 2016 by the incredible May Sung and furnished by interior design group Avenue Interior Design. I don’t know about you, but I am definitely considering hiring them furnish my home. I’m a huge fan of renovations, (I record pretty much every show on HGTV) and La Serena Villas takes the cake for the most beautiful renovated space Ive ever laid my eyes on. It warms my heart to see historic buildings re-imagined instead of torn down. Check out how gorgeous their lobby is!

Reason #5: The Pool

Where is the best place to be on a hot summer day? By the beautiful desert pool, of course! Flanked by palm trees and the most beautiful mountain view, we spent many relaxing afternoons laying on the inflatable unicorn + comfy chaise lounges and soaking up the sun. Located right outside Azuar, the bartender walked around the pool offering drinks all afternoon. I highly recommend trying their lemonade, its to die for.
