INTERIOR GOALS
I am definitely guilty of spending way too much time watching HGTV. As soon as I opened the door to Villa #17, I knew the designer was too because every detail was utter perfection. From the peachy moroccan bedding to the beaded chandelier, this space has total oasis vibes. We had a wardrobe area large enough to fit all of the 20 outfits I packed (because you never know what you will want to wear) and a giant countertop that spanned the whole back wall which created the perfect styling space for me to create my outfits.
I’ve always dreamed of having a gorgeous en-suite retreat, and I got to soak in all the inspiration from the MASSIVE bathroom. From the luxurious moroccan tile shower to the freestanding claw foot tub, it was hard to force myself to leave this space and explore the rest of the stunning property. I tried to think of ways to sneak the inlaid dresser home with me, but unfortunately my boyfriend talked me out of it. ;)
PERSONAL OUTDOOR OASIS
I am a firm believer in outdoor bathtubs, and the beauty at villa #17 takes the cake. I absolutely loved soaking in the charming clawfoot tub and gazing up at the crystal clear desert night sky. After relaxing in the bath, I walked a few steps over to our private fire pit + seating area. Relaxing in our private outdoor space was the perfect way to end a day spend in the sun in Palm Springs.
POOL + WHISPER SPA
If you can manage to leave your room, I highly recommend spending time at the pool. Flanked by palm trees and the most beautiful mountain view, we spent many relaxing afternoons laying on the inflatable unicorn + comfy chaise lounges and soaking up the sun. Located right outside Azuar, the bartender walked around the pool offering drinks all afternoon. I highly recommend trying their lemonade, its to die for. Once you have soaked in the amazing ambiance that is the main pool, I recommend heading over to Whisper Spa for a soak in the hot tub, and maybe even a sea weed wrap.
AZUCAR + SUGAR HIGH
This was our second time enjoying La Serena Villas, and this time around their rooftop bar + lounge Sugar High was open. GUYS… this place is absolutely breathtaking. Set atop the main restaurant Azucar, Sugar High boasts the most incredible view of the pool and mountains. The moroccan decor added the perfect touch of whimsical and made us feel like we were traveling abroad. We ordered their Brussel sprout salad and enjoyed the afternoon in peace and tranquility.
