My hair has gone through quite the transformation over the past year and a half, and I owe it all to my good friend Lauren, aka @Lobixx1 on Instagram. I have never trusted a hair dresser more than I trust Lauren. I literally go in and tell her to do whatever she wants (which is unheard of for me because Im a bit of a control freak when it comes to changes) but i always walk out of The Parlour looking and feeling amazing with my new do.
Just to give you a little background on my hair, and how talented she is for getting it to this color, I used to have box dyed black hair. If you have followed me since i started in 2012, then you have seen my hair transformation over the years. But for those of you who haven't, heres the scoop.
I have natural brown hair, but in high school i was dying to have black hair to make my eyes pop. It looked great, so I kept applying box dye 10-11th grade and eventually got bored of the black and grabbed a box of a medium brown color thinking i'd go lighter gradually. Well, I've learned my lesson to NEVER try to lighten my hair on my own. Inevitably, my black hair turned orange in the process of going a lighter brown and I was pissed. So I called my local salon and set up an appointment to fix the damage I had done, and ended up with brown hair with chunky blonde highlights and HATED it. So, i basically did nothing with it for awhile and then finally found Lauren. She fixed all the color damage, toned it to ashy blonde perfection, and gave it a sassy cut that I am in love with. I also have tape in extensions for thickness, and they make a massive difference and are not too expensive. Chat with Lauren about it when you go in :)
If you live in Encinitas area (or even if you don't because she is well worth the drive, I drive 1.5 hours to see her), you HAVE to give her a ring and set up an appointment and tell her Eva sent you. Be prepared to have a new lease on life after paying her a visit :)
