How are you? We escaped the office this past week for a magical staycation at my home-away-from-home - La Serena Villas! Johnny and I visit this little slice of desert paradise every summer, and it's always such a dreamy place to unwind. This oasis is nestled in the beautiful San Jacinto Mountains, and is steps from the heart of Downtown Palm Springs. We love having the ability to walk the PS strip and check out the restaurants & shopping - Free People, West Elm, Starbucks & waaayy more amazing spots are all within a few short city blocks! La Serena also has complimentary bikes available to guests, which is always fun to take out for a spin if we don't want to walk.

CABANA + POOL
Right after checking in, it's essential to order a signature cocktail + chips & guac from the Azucar restaurant and float in the pool to escape the 107F degree temperatures. Trust me, this ritual is a no-brainer. This little slice of heaven always puts me in total relaxation mode. Once you have soaked in the amazing ambiance that is the main pool, I recommend heading over to Whisper Spa for a soak in the hot tub, and maybe even a Sea Weed Wrap or Earth Mama Massage. La Serena recently updated this area with 2 luxurious cabanas that Johnny and I absolutely loved relaxing in. We had the entire spa are to ourselves in the afternoon!
2. DREAMY BUNGALOW + PRIVATE PATIO WITH VINTAGE CLAW FOOT TUB
Walking up to Villa 2, the first thing I noticed was our private courtyard patio complete with a rattan swinging chair. We stepped through the double french doors of our beautiful fountain bungalow and immediately jumped into the luxurious king size bed! This spacious 300 square feet space features a 40" flat screen TV. (Johnny and I always travel with our Apple TV, so we loved this feature for watching movies before bed). From the oversized shower complete with a seat + a rain shower head (and the most beautiful tile!), to the luxurious Frette linens and immaculate furniture, every square inch of this place was beautiful. With L’Occitane skin and bath products & plush robes, it's impossible not to feel spoiled here. Directly off the oversized bathroom is a private backyard with a beautiful fire pit & vintage claw foot bathtub. One of my favorite activities at La Serena Villas is enjoying our daily breakfast basket filled with fresh pastries & fruit from a warm bath. 10/10 recommend. They also provide a cute little blanket to use for a breakfast picnic in bed if the bath breaky isn't quite your thing!

3. GORGEOUS GROUNDS
I always love wandering the beautiful grounds at La Serena - there's a very relaxed + mediterranean vibe that always puts me at ease. From a winding pathway lined with palms to a relaxing rattan swinging chair, it's east to forget you are still in CA!
