We are halfway through week 4 of quarantine, how are you doing? We have been resting, shooting a little bit, and watching a lot of TV over here. We finished West World, Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and are currently bingeing Workaholics. I've taken up cooking, and I thoroughly enjoy it. My fridge used to look like a frat house fridge with only wine + beer and no food, but we finally have a fully stocked fridge on a regular basis. I've been making low carb dinners and last night I made garlic roast beef + cauliflower mashed potatoes.
Johnny started working in the ER a few weeks ago, so we have temporarily quarantined ourselves away from our families. It is so weird not seeing my parents on a regular basis. I typically visit them 2-3 times per week and I haven't seen them in 6 weeks. FaceTime is cool and all, but the distance is really starting to get to me. The only times we have left the house has been for Sunday grocery trips + daily drive-thru Starbucks runs. This new "normal" is strange, but I have to keep reminding myself that I am doing it in order to save lives. Staying home is protecting my parents and that is on the top of my priority list right now.
I've been using this extra time at home to purge my loftice, document archives, computer archives, and iPhone images. Yup, I went through 33,000 images/videos that have accumulated on my phone and holy shit it took forever and I went a little crosseyed. I found a textile on IG that I fell in love with, and decided to create my own version. My painting inspired me to create a new preset, and we just launched it on Etsy today. It's called the HOMEBODY preset, and was used to edit the images seen in this post :) My goal with this preset is to inspire you to get creative at home and hopefully keep you busy. Since we have been in bed more than usual, I thought it was time to get some luxury bedding + pajamas and I am so pissed I didn't do it sooner! We ordered new bedding from Cozy Earth, and the past week of sleeps have been incredible. I totally understand why these sheets + PJ's are on Oprah's list of favorite things. Our down comforter was starting to make Johnny and I overheat at night, and I love that the Cozy Earth bamboo sheets are temperature regulating + moisture wicking. They're also antimicrobial/antibacterial and free of harsh chemicals + dyes which is great for my sensitive skin. Best of all, all Cozy Earth bedding is sustainable and eco-friendly, which is so important especially now with the state of the world. Hook yourself up with bedding 10x softer than cotton with code EVAACATHERINE50.
