WHY YOU NEED TO HONEYMOON AT LA SERENA VILLAS

Hi angels! It's been awhile since I've posted on my blog, but today I am coming to you from beautiful villa #10 at La Serena Villas. If you are a dedicated reader of mine, then you're already familiar with my favorite desert destination. If you're new here, this oasis is nestled in the beautiful San Jacinto Mountains, and is steps from the heart of Downtown Palm Springs (& has become a major staple in my Summer travel destinations!) Johnny and I love having the ability to walk the PS strip and check out the restaurants & shopping - Free People, West Elm, Starbucks & waaayy more amazing restaurants are all within a few short city blocks! Our Summer home-away-from home is near and dear to our hearts, and I am thrilled to share some special images from our mini vacay. If I could do my mini-moon over again, I would absolutely spend it at La Serena Villas. Here are my top 2 reasons to visit.

1. The Ideal Honeymoon Hunker Down

If you're looking for a place to just hole up for the weekend with your significant other & never leave your room, this is definitely the spot to do it (it would be hard not to leave the room though - La Serena's pool is absolutely breathtaking!) Upon arrival, the front porch welcomes you with the sweetest hanging swing that I highly recommend enjoying with an afternoon cocktail. When you open the door to Villa 10, you will probably *definitely* audibly gasp. This 455 square foot home-away-from-home is absolutely LUXE. From the luxurious shower complete with a seat + a rain shower head (and the most beautiful tile!), to the lavish linens and immaculate furniture, every square inch of this place is unforgettable. I was immediately obsessed with their beaded light fixtures and beams on the ceiling. These are details I definitely want in my future home. The kitchen is complete with a microwave, lots of storage, and an adorable vintage baby blue fridge. After you settle in, make sure you take a dip in the pool while enjoying poolside food & beverage services and when you get hungry, check out their incredible restaurant Azucar & rooftop bar Sugar High! You will feel like you are vacationing in Morocco!

2. Romantic Outdoor Bathtub + On Site Spa

Picture this: the Summer sun is starting to set - casting a golden light across your private patio. You pour yourselves a glass of champagne and slip into a romantic bubble bath with your husband or wife. What could be better?

I am such a sucker for a gorgeous white claw foot tub, and each of La Serena's villas features a vintage bathtub complete with warm running water. Taking a bath and gazing up at the desert night sky is something you and your spouse will never forget. There's nothing quite like the twinkle of the constellations alongside the San Jacinto Mountains. We also enjoyed devouring our complimentary breakfast basket in our bathtub - but if a bath breaky isn't quite your thing, a cozy blanket is provided for a scrumptious breakfast in bed. Our outdoor space also featured a fire pit, but we didn’t end up using it because of the 110+ degree temperatures. Located right outside out patio, the Whispers Spa offered some indulgences that are impossible to pass up. I highly recommend their sea weed wrap :)

If the dreamy outdoor bathtub situation doesn't entice you, check out their gorgeous grounds!
